Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical problems, install equipment and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer demand.
• Analyze problem situations for breakdowns and recommend corrective actions to customers.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor and provide superior customer service in a team environment.
• Perform necessary repairs efficiently and productively.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventory in the service van and keep vehicle in proper condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• 1 to 3 years of mechanical, electrical or hydraulic experience in a similar environment, or equivalent college or vocational education.
• Strong communication skills with customers, management and coworkers.
• Good understanding of industry innovations and product availability to make recommendations based on customer needs.

Travel Requirements

• Position requires daily travel within assigned territories.
• Technicians receive a company vehicle and Fuel Card for vehicle expenses.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Good speaking, hearing and voice control.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus as required.
