Role Description

The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Texas, AR. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems and related mechanical piping at customer facilities. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to service calls in a timely and professional manner. The technician will document work performed, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. The role may involve occasional overtime or on-call work to meet customer needs and critical deadlines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in refrigeration systems, preferably ammonia-based, and mechanical piping installation and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with industrial equipment and control systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices for working with pressurized systems and hazardous materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Effective communication skills and customer-oriented mindset for on-site service interactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage time under tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting, climbing, and working in varying environmental conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for travel to customer sites.
• Previous experience in the food industry or industrial environments is a plus.
