Job summary

Scott Equipment Company is seeking a skilled field service technician to operate a mobile service vehicle, traveling to customer locations in St. Rose, LA to diagnose and repair construction equipment.

You will perform in-field diagnostics, disassembly, reconditioning and routine maintenance following manuals, while delivering quality work and meeting deadlines. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical skills; Diesel and hydraulic systems experience preferred.
• Current and valid drivers license as outlined in company policy manual.
• Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in-field diagnostics and repair of construction equipment.
• Perform repairs including component removal, disassembly and reconditioning following prescribed technical manuals.
• Ensure quality work while maintaining efficiency and profitability; may require overtime and weekends.

Job Description

This individual will operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in field diagnostics and repair of construction equipment as required. These repairs will consist of, but are not limited to, complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning, following prescribed technical manual procedures. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends on occasion.
