Job summary

TGI Office Automation in Bronx, NY is seeking a Field Service Technician to service office equipment across Queens and Long Island. The role involves travel to client sites and performing diagnostics, installations and repairs to ensure client equipment stays up and running.

You will follow defined call procedures, maintain strong customer relationships, and adhere to company policies while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or related experience
• Copier/Mechanical experience preferred (2 years)
• Working knowledge of computers (Windows/Mac) and basic network connectivity
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude"
• Ability to use handheld devices, phone, laptop for service calls
• Driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Manage territory, inventory and customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction
• Provide quality service calls on serviced equipment
• Travel to client sites within the territory to repair and maintain office equipment (copiers, printers, fax)
• Perform on-site maintenance and repairs: diagnostics, break/fix, installation, removal, customer support
• Follow proper call handling procedures with daily call targets
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
• Adhere to TGI Office Automation policies and procedures

Work Location: Queens, NY / Long Island, NY territory

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

• Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships, along with maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for providing quality service calls on each piece of equipment serviced.
• Travel to client sites within an assigned geographic area to repair and maintain office equipment (Copiers, printers, fax).
• Performs full range of on‑site maintenance and repairs on assigned products to include technical diagnostics, break/fix, installation, removal, and customer call assistance.
• Follows proper call handling procedures while maintaining the minimum call per day average.
• Maintains effective relationships with customers and fellow employees.
• Must follow the policies and procedures set forth by TGI Office Automation.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; or industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Copier/Mechanical: 2 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft, Apple and basic network connectivity, print drivers.
• Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use appropriate technology for the position (i.e., handheld computer, phone, laptop).
• Must have excellent daily time management skills and be capable of prioritizing activities and.
• Driver’s License / Vehicle (Required).

Salary

$45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year (based on experience)
