Job summary

TGI Office Automation is seeking a bright, highly motivated Field Service Technician to join our growing team in the North Jersey area. You will travel to client sites to repair and maintain office equipment such as copiers, printers, and fax, providing on-site diagnostics, break/fix, installation, and customer support.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with copier/mechanical work, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Copier/Printer maintenance experience preferred (2 years).
• Proficient with Windows and Apple systems; basic networking and print driver knowledge.
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude required; hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to use handheld devices, laptops, and other field tech tools.
• Strong time management and prioritization; excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships while sustaining high customer satisfaction.
• Provides quality service calls on each serviced equipment piece.
• Travels to client sites within the North Jersey geographic area to repair and maintain office equipment (copiers, printers, fax).
• Performs on-site maintenance and repairs including diagnostics, break/fix, installation, removal, and customer support.
• Follows call handling procedures and maintains minimum calls-per-day targets.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers and coworkers; manages client expectations and resolutions.
• Follows TGI Office Automation policies and procedures.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

• Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships, along with maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


• Responsible for providing quality service calls on each piece of equipment serviced.


• Travel to client sites within an assigned geographic area to repair and maintain office equipment. (Copiers, printers, fax)


• Performs full range of on-site maintenance and repairs on assigned products to include technical diagnostics, break/fix, installation, removal, and customer call assistance.


• Follows proper call handling procedures while maintaining the minimum call per day average.


• Maintains effective relationships with customers and fellow employees.


• Managing the clients' expectations and resolutions.


• Must follow the policies and procedures set forth by TGI Office Automation.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; or industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Copier/Mechanical: 2 years preferred


• Working knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft, Apple and basic network connectivity, print drivers.


• Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.


• Ability to use appropriate technology for the position (i.e. handheld computer, phone, laptop).


• Must have excellent daily time management skills and be capable of prioritizing activities.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Driver's License / Vehicle(Required)
