Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Field Service professional to provide preventive maintenance, emergency repairs and strong customer relations for coffee machines, juice machines, dishwashers and chemical dispensing equipment. The selected candidate will service Northwest Houston and surrounding areas within the territory.

As a service specialist you will work Monday–Friday 7 AM–6 PM with weekend rotation and on-call evenings.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid state driver’s license required
• Clean driving record (MVR will be checked)
• Successfully pass drug screen, MVR and background check
• Two years’ customer service or equipment repair experience or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and sanitation codes
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting

Responsibilities

• Install, preventive maintenance and operational checks for coffee machines, juice machines, dishwashers and chemical dispensers
• Provide emergency repairs and service to customers including national accounts, healthcare, and hospitality
• Maintain strong customer relations and coordinate with customers in the Northwest Houston area

_ What will you do? _

As a service Specialist you will be the trusted expert that provides installation, preventative maintenance and measures performance of coffee machines, juice machines, dishwashers, and chemical dispensing machines for a variety of customers including national accounts, healthcare, college and university, hospitality and large independent food service operators.

When you will work:

• Monday - Friday between the hours of 7AM - 6PM, however this position requires flexibility to provide exceptional customer service. This includes a weekend rotation and on call evenings.

_ What you'll bring to the table: _

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Clean driving record (we will run an MVR).
• Successfully pass the drug screen, motor vehicle report (MVR) and background check requirements (criminal background check – we do not check your credit score)
• Two years previous customer service or equipment repair experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Mechanical Aptitude - electrical, plumbing, health and sanitation codes. Ability to correctly interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting of machines.
