Job description

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has a future need for a Field Service Technician to join its industry-leading service team in the Nalco Water Division. You'll partner with Sales Representatives to execute service plans in strategic district accounts and provide customers with problem-solving support. You will also assist District Sales Reps with launching new applications and transitioning accounts to Nalco Water. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and calibrating chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.

What you will do:
  • Execute chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain inventories.
  • Provide routine and technical support to customers, resolving challenges and escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist with start-ups of new applications in existing and new accounts.
  • Establish effective customer relationships and collaborate on best practices.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed and monitoring equipment.
Territory/Location:
  • Based in San Jose, CA with a 50-mile radius coverage.
  • 1-2 nights of overnight travel per week.
  • Targeted accounts within the Data Center Industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years' experience in industrial/mechanical environments.
  • Water treatment experience or technical degree with 0-2 years experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • No immigration sponsorship available; must pass drug and background checks.
Physical Demands:
  • Work in various conditions, including confined spaces, damp, dusty, cold, or hot environments.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or trade certification.
  • Experience in water treatment or specialty chemicals.
  • Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, wastewater systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Compensation & Benefits:
