Each day presents unique challenges, requiring strong prioritization, multitasking, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Whether you have 1-2 years of direct remodeling experience or 4-5 years in property maintenance, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills within a stable, growing company. This is a REMOTE role that must ideally reside in San Jose, CA or the surrounding metroplex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform demolition and installation of cabinets, doors, door hardware, and cabinet refacing.
  • Install plumbing fixtures, including sinks, faucets, disposals, angle stop valves, toilets, and bathtubs.
  • Install electrical components, such as light fixtures, ceiling fans, outlets, GFCI devices, and light switches.
  • Hang drywall, complete small patch repairs, apply texture, and perform mud and tape work.
  • Conduct finish carpentry work, including installing door casings, bi-fold doors, bypass doors, passage doors, and baseboards.
  • Perform monthly equipment checks to ensure proper functioning.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord-Tenant laws, OSHA, EEOC).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of experience in interior residential construction, remodeling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, construction materials, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and perform basic math calculations (including fractions and decimals).
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to make informed decisions on minor issues within company policies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safe work procedures in all environments.
  • This position requires regular driving to multiple sites. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, have reliable transportation, and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely as part of their job duties. While reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with the ADA, the ability to perform essential driving duties is a critical job requirement.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Use of hand and power tools, requiring manual dexterity and grip strength.
  • Climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Visual acuity to read blueprints, measurements, and instructions.
  • Ability to work in various positions, including awkward or confined spaces.
