Job summary

Chadwick-BaRoss, a field-based heavy equipment service provider, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain off-road construction equipment such as loaders, excavators and backhoes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, powertrains and electrical systems, works in a fast-paced shop and in the field, and is committed to technician growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing heavy equipment or construction machinery.
• Experience with OEM brands such as Takeuchi, Link-Belt, Bell, Volvo, Hyundai, CAT, or similar preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical/mechanical diagnostics.
• Ability to provide a personal basic tool set and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment systems including diesel engines, hydraulics, powertrains, fuel systems, and electrical components.
• Participate in annual technician evaluations and pursue advancement opportunities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and advanced diagnostics.
• Remove, install, and rebuild major components with minimal supervision.
• Use diagnostic tools, OEM manuals, and schematics to complete accurate repairs.
• Document all repairs and maintenance with detailed service reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Safely operate and maneuver equipment within the service facility.
• Participate in OEM and regional technical training as required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experiencedHeavy Equipment Service Technicianfor a Field based role. This position focuses on thediagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment, including loaders, excavators, and backhoes.

Compensation:

Starting at$35.00/hrand up,based on experience

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment

• Strong attention to detail with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
