Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Field Service Technician C to provide mechanical and technical support for transformer service in the US. You will inspect, service, and repair equipment in substations, record site activities, and assist with transformer testing under site leadership.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2 years of experience, be able to travel up to 85%, and hold a valid driver’s license. CDL and welding are pluses; associate degree is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience performing mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Ability to travel up to 85% for field service assignments.
• Valid driver's license is required; travel and outdoor work are common.
• Welding experience and CDL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify defects.
• Service, repair, and adjust equipment components operating on mechanical systems.
• Document site activities using computer systems and software.
• Support site transformer testing activities and logs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
