Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus 2+ years in technical or mechanical fields
• Valid driver's license with clean record and up to 85% travel
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, perform demanding tasks
• Outdoors work in all weather up to 12 hours daily
• Class A CDL preferred
• Welding certification or experience preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy

Responsibilities

• Execute precision mechanical work in high-voltage substations under supervision
• Learn transformer maintenance, service procedures, and troubleshooting
• Apply military or technical skills to field service tasks
• Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance support
• Assist in servicing transformer systems using established processes
• Analyze technical data and apply findings to customer challenges
• Operate VOPs and oil handling equipment with training
• Maintain processing logs and support transformer testing activities
• Use digital tools for site documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with engineering, field staff, and customers to support maintenance strategies
