Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician C to deliver mechanical support in transformer service across the US Services HUB. You will perform subsystems work, inspect equipment, and assist in testing activities to ensure power infrastructure reliability.

The role requires 2 years of experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel up to 85%. CDL Class A and welding experience are a plus, with opportunities to grow in a supportive field service team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of professional work experience.
• Experience performing mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Ability to travel up to 85% and operate outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL/Class A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Inspect equipment, structures and materials for defects.
• Service, repair, and adjust mechanical components.
• Document site activities and process information using computer systems.
• Operate and maintain vacuum oil processors and oil handling equipment.
• Support transformer testing activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
