Job summary

BMG is seeking a Field Service Technician for its Beaverton, Michigan site. The role covers start-up, debugging, installation, and training on all equipment at customer plants, with cross-training across product lines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in installation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of capital equipment. Applicants must have an associate degree or equivalent, be able to travel frequently, hold a valid passport and US driver’s license, and be legally eligible to

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, 2-year trade school or equivalent experience.
• Robotics programming and PLC/servo knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and ability to obtain passport.

Responsibilities

• Installs and starts up equipment at customer plants as assigned.
• Performs preventative maintenance and training on machines.
• Repairs or adjusts equipment and verifies operation per customer requirements.
• Communicates issues to Engineering and Sales observed on site.
• Maintains service reports and informs team of spare parts needs.
