Job summary

BearCom in Oklahoma City is hiring a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems on-site. You will work with UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz equipment, dispatch consoles, and related systems, delivering reliable service and customer-focused solutions.

The role requires strong RF theory knowledge, ability to read schematics, and hands-on experience with test equipment. Travel and on-call hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a field service technician in the 2-way radio/ wireless/communications field.
• Strong understanding of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Experience with DAS/BDA systems and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Recommend equipment meeting customer requirements.
• Limited regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
