Job summary

Special Order Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair telecommunication equipment, tablet support, and inventory control across California.

The role requires traveling to various sites, sometimes overnight, delivering installation, training, and troubleshooting for Securus products. You will install and service phones, kiosks, video terminals, WAPs, tablets, and related hardware in correctional facilities, while coordinating with dispatch and supporting pre-bid

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years installing, repairing telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS.
• Telephony experience including cable pulling and terminations up to 100 pair.
• Knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat3/5/6) and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel statewide, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout California to install, repair, and maintain telecom and networking hardware.
• Install phones, kiosks, video terminals, WAPs, tablets in correctional facilities.
• Provide site surveys, pre-bid support, and customer training.
• Maintain inventory and assets, coordinate with dispatch for ETA.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple departments and departments.
