Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to join our team. You will perform advanced installation tasks, configure and program devices and management platforms, oversee commissioning, and provide customer training at a basic operations level.

You will lead Level I installers, mentor peers, coordinate with Project Delivery Coordinators and customers, and ensure high standards of quality and service on nurse call, access control, and video surveillance

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, computers, VoIP, etc.).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Previous experience completing projects within scope.
• Previous experience with service ticketing processes.
• Any previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer roles following documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational skills with project/service tickets and updates.
• Understand project scopes and take accountability for tasks.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and gather feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Showcase expertise in nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue professional development focusing on leadership and communication.
• Perform FAT testing and ensure system quality and performance.
• Configure and commission systems and provide reliable client solutions.
• Accept additional duties as needed.
