Job summary

NPI, a Duravant company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, repair, and upgrade conveyor-driven automated sorting systems for parcels. You will support customers’ material handling equipment on-site across shifts.

The role emphasizes strong electronics/mechanical skills, proactive maintenance, service updates, and clear communication with customers. You will travel as needed, respond to emergencies, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Prefer a 2-year degree or certification in electronics/advanced mechanics/software training.
• 5+ years related industry/equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, service, and upgrade conveyor-driven automated sorting systems.
• Respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls within established response times.
• Instruct and assist less experienced technicians and share knowledge.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory and on-site tools; document and communicate service updates.
