Job summary

NPI, a Duravant company, seeks a Field Service Technician to join the Lifecycle Services team. You will maintain, diagnose, repair, service, and upgrade conveyor-driven automated sorting systems for parcels, with emphasis on both mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance and strong customer service.

The role requires working with customers’ material handling equipment, and may involve travel to sites for installations and upgrades while staying technically current through ongoing

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Prefer a 2-year degree or certification in electronics/advanced mechanics/software training.
• 5+ years related industry/equipment experience.
• Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer issues quickly to maximize uptime.
• Instruct and train less experienced field technicians.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
• Install new equipment and perform upgrades.
• Control assets by managing parts inventory and on-site tools.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional communication.
• Review service updates and follow installation/retrofit instructions.
• Stay technically current with training on networking and software.
