Field Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will supervise a team of service engineers and technicians, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of service offerings, solutions, and projects to customers. You will contribute to executing service strategy and growth by focusing on cost-effective service delivery and adherence to guidelines. You will demonstrate your expertise by driving service achievements through resource planning, allocation, and implementing standard procedures and safety protocols.

Work model: Remote

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Ensuring customer focus, urgency, and care in your area, building sustainable relationships for growth, satisfaction, and retention.
  2. Driving process development based on customer feedback (Net Promoter Score) to improve customer experience.
  3. Allocating, driving, and monitoring work based on order content, delivery time, competencies, and workload.
  4. Managing a team of service professionals, guiding their development, and ensuring effective organization and direction.

Qualifications for the role
  • 10+ years of professional experience or relevant military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience preferred.
  • Or Associate's Degree in Electrical Theory with 8+ years of experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in critical power systems, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UPS, generators, PDUs, and batteries is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and client relationships effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NFPA, ANSI, OSHA).
  • Understanding of regulation and legal compliance, technical support, project management, quality management, and operations management.
  • Experience in sales practices, marketing, and customer-centric product management.
  • Certifications such as NETA, IEEE, or manufacturer-specific certifications are advantageous; experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50-60% for field visits.
  • This position is ideal for a dynamic leader passionate about delivering reliable power solutions in mission-critical environments.
  • Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
