Qualifications

• Field tech experience preferred in low‑voltage, security, networking or camera systems.
• Practical networking knowledge: IP addressing, subnetting, gateway/DNS fundamentals.
• Familiarity with supporting field servers.
• Hands‑on cabling experience: termination, testing, and failure patterns.
• Basic electrical competency; AC vs DC concepts; safe multimeter usage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting internal technicians and third‑party contractors.
• Exposure to ticketing systems and technical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time phone-based technical support to field technicians and contractors.
• Guide technicians through structured troubleshooting and establish clear next steps.
• Perform IP configuration checks, connectivity tests, and device reachability validation.
• Support various VMS server deployments and onsite health checks.
• Document symptoms, steps taken, and next steps in tickets; ensure handoff clarity.
