Job summary

POWERX in Dallas, TX is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a field tech team, ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with policies.

You will train staff, supervise 1-4 technicians, manage safety programs, and drive performance, with travel up to 50% and opportunities for career development. POWERX is committed to a people-first culture and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the Electrical Testing or Engineering field.
• 1 year of successful experience in POWERX Field Services preferred.
• High school diploma required, Associate’s degree in Electrical Power Distribution and Control or similar experience and training from the military is preferred.
• Current training in OSHA 30 Hour, MSHA, NFPA-70E, CPR/First Aid/AED, and/or Smith Driver Training.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a production job leader or crew member when workload demands.
• Teach and mentor direct reports on how to run jobs and projects in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Ensure that assigned technicians are current on required safety training and that completion of their training is reflected on their scorecard.
• Regularly discuss safety training and EHS policies and procedures with team members and ensure the implementation and utilization of proper safety procedures.
• Develop a career path and individual training plan with each direct report to guide employees in their skills advancement; ensure team members are receiving on-the-job training and are exposed to new learning and job tasks per their training plan.
• Provide regular and ongoing positive and constructive feedback to direct reports about their work performance.
• Address performance concerns as they arise; issue written disciplinary warnings when appropriate in collaboration with the Operations Manager and HR.
• Provide daily work direction to effectively execute customer jobs according to job scope and budget.
