Job summary

Crete United is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead a team of technicians on commercial HVAC systems in the Davenport, IA area with relocation support.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, supervisory skills, and the ability to coordinate service calls, maintain safety and quality, and foster strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience, supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• EPA Section 608 certification required; universal preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel between properties and participate in on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor field service technicians on commercial HVAC systems.
• Schedule daily service calls, PMs, emergencies, and customer requests.
• Oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC equipment.
• Ensure work safety, quality, and on-time completion.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and service department performance.
• Coordinate parts, materials, and equipment to complete jobs.
• Maintain relations with property managers and customers.
• Assist with after-hours emergency service when needed.
• Support growth of service agreements and reduce callbacks.

Position Overview

• Job Title: Field Service Supervisor
• Location: Davenport, IA
• Schedule: Full-Time | | Overtime Available | On-call Rotation
• Pay Range: up to $60 per hour (DOE)
• This Position would be a relocation to the Davenport, IA area.*** - We are offering up to $10,000 relocation assistance for the right candidate!

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and support field service technicians working on commercial HVAC systems.
• Coordinate daily service calls, technician schedules, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and customer requests.
• Oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to company quality standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs for commercial buildings and properties.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians diagnosing complex HVAC issues.
• Review service tickets, work orders, repair estimates, and technician reports for accuracy.
• Monitor labor costs, productivity, material usage, and service department performance.
• Communicate with property managers, building engineers, and commercial customers regarding service needs and repairs.
• Coordinate parts, materials, and equipment to complete service work efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, applicable codes, and company safety policies.
• Train and mentor technicians while maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce callbacks, and grow service agreements.
• Assist with after-hours emergency service coordination as needed.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, HVAC controls, and building automation systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards, mechanical codes, and refrigerant handling requirements.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for applicable refrigerant work; Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Proficiency with service management software, electronic work orders, and scheduling tools.
• Ability to travel between commercial properties and participate in on-call support as needed.
• Must be willing to obtain IA Journeyman's license.
