Job summary

Crete United is seeking a Field Service Supervisor for on-site work in Davenport, IA. You will supervise technicians, coordinate daily service calls, and oversee HVAC system maintenance and repairs across rooftops, chillers, boilers, and controls.

The role requires strong leadership, HVAC expertise, and the ability to travel between sites with on-call rotation. Relocation assistance is offered for the right candidate and a company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience with supervisory exposure.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• EPA 608 certification; Universal preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to obtain IA Journeyman license.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

• Job Title: Field Service Supervisor
• Location: Davenport, IA
• Schedule: Full-Time | | Overtime Available | On-call Rotation
• Pay Range: up to $60 per hour (DOE)
• ***This Position would be a relocation to the Davenport, IA area.*** We are offering up to $10,000 relocation assistance for the right candidate!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise, lead, and support field service technicians working on commercial HVAC systems.
• Coordinate daily service calls, technician schedules, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and customer requests.
• Oversee troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to company quality standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs for commercial buildings and properties.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians diagnosing complex HVAC issues.
• Review service tickets, work orders, repair estimates, and technician reports for accuracy.
• Monitor labor costs, productivity, material usage, and service department performance.
• Communicate with property managers, building engineers, and commercial customers regarding service needs and repairs.
• Coordinate parts, materials, and equipment to complete service work efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, applicable codes, and company safety policies.
• Train and mentor technicians while maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce callbacks, and grow service agreements.
• Assist with after-hours emergency service coordination as needed.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, HVAC controls, and building automation systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards, mechanical codes, and refrigerant handling requirements.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for applicable refrigerant work; Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Proficiency with service management software, electronic work orders, and scheduling tools.
• Ability to travel between commercial properties and participate in on-call support as needed.
• Must be willing to obtain IA Journeyman's license.
