The Service Supervisor - Field Service is responsible for supervising field service technicians and managing the daily operations of the Machine Field Service Department.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Manage safety protocols in accordance with Safety First and Safety Starts with Me culture.
- Ensure seamless communication and transition of machine field service processes to customers and internal departments.
- Interpret and enforce company policies, safety, and DOT regulations.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules.
- Optimize efficiency and truck utilization through effective communication and scheduling.
- Manage work order quality standards and technician responsibilities related to paperwork and reporting.
- Oversee technician groups and resources to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage technician payroll and WIP in line with company goals.
- Review technician performance based on KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and build strong business relationships.
- Handle quotes, manage profit margins, and oversee technician recruitment and retention.
- Prioritize service calls, perform truck inspections, and maintain work environment standards.
- Support high performance through effective relationships and teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call responsibilities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with five years of industry experience and knowledge of machine service, accounting, and leadership.
- Preferably two years' supervisory experience in a service industry.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
- Ability to learn specific systems like CAT DBS, Lotus Notes, and SIS.
