Job summary

Ohio CAT, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead our Field Service Technicians and Coordinators in getting customers back to work.

You will manage daily operations, communicate with customers, and guide service staff while participating in employee development and process reviews to drive an efficient, high-performing service department.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced field service environment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment repair processes and Caterpillar systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Field Service team, including Technicians and Coordinators, to keep customers working.
• Manage day-to-day Field Service Department operations and interface with customers.
• Develop employees through training and participate in process reviews to improve efficiency.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Field Service Supervisor leads our talented Field Service team, including Field Service Technicians and Coordinators, in getting our customers back to work. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day Field Service Department operations, communicate with our customers, and lead the service staff. In addition to the day-to-day operations, you will also take part in the development and training of your employees and be involved in process reviews to ensure that we are running an efficient and effective service department. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have prior industry knowledge of the Heavy Equipment products along with a technical background of the products sold and serviced. Familiarity with Heavy Equipment repair processes is required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience is required.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be highly motivated, with excellent leadership, communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills.
• Must have advanced computer skills with an understanding of Caterpillar systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and have a teamwork ethic along with exceptional knowledge of construction equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
