Job summary

FM Generator, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Field Service Scheduler based in Canton, MA. This role coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly service schedules across the territory, ensuring alignment with contract obligations and resource availability.

You will collaborate with Service and Contracts teams to understand scheduling priorities, qualify work prior to scheduling, and maintain accurate ERP records, while proactively identifying efficiency opportunities and customer contact as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 1–3 years of relevant scheduling experience.
• Ability to analyze complex data from a database.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly and broader schedule outlines for all territories.
• Develop daily and weekly technician schedules for efficient resource use.
• Qualify all work prior to scheduling using customer, location, equipment history and notes.
• Verify and update ERP data for equipment, location and customer records.
• Follow up on recommendations and identify revenue or efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure technicians are qualified and logistics meet scope of work.
• Contact customers to confirm dates and times of scheduled services as needed.

Job description

FM Generator is seeking a detail-oriented scheduling champion who is accountable for ensuring optimal daily, weekly, and monthly schedules are developed and implemented in a timely manner across FM’s service territory. TheField Service Schedulerwill work closely with our Service and Contracts team members to understand and communicate all scheduling priorities and needs, ensuring jobs are fully qualified and are scheduled to meet contract obligations. Based at our headquarters in Canton, MA, this position requires constant phone and database utilization in a fast-paced service environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Creates monthly and further reaching schedule outlines across all assigned territories, integrating new accounts
• Develops daily and weekly technician schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources, capturing all available obligations and opportunities
• Qualifies all work prior to scheduling, reviewing customer, location, and equipment information history, and notes, as well as checklists, photos, previous parts utilized, open recommendations, and pending jobs
• Ensures ERP data is verified and updated against for changes in equipment, location, and customer records
• Follows up on outstanding work recommendations and proposals for potential inclusion in upcoming schedule and identifies other revenue generating and efficiency saving opportunities
• Understands scope of work for all assigned services to schedule appropriate time on site, ensure technicians are qualified to do required work, and logistical needs will be met
• As necessary, contacts customers to initially confirm dates and times of scheduled services

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, combined with a minimum of one to three years of hands‑on experience in a similar role
• Ability to analyze and act upon complex data from database
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation required
