Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead our team of Field Service Technicians, oversee daily operations, dispatch technicians, and serve as the main contact with customers.

You will develop and train technicians, review processes for efficiency, and contribute to a culture of safety and high performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical knowledge of the products to be serviced, with a technical background in heavy equipment, preferably Caterpillar products.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Experience with dispatching service technicians is required.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Field Service Supervisor leads our talented team of Field Service Technicians in getting our customers back to work. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day Field Service Department operations, be the first point of contact in communication with our customers during and outside of regular business hours, dispatch service technicians, and lead the service staff. In addition to the day-to-day operations, you will also take part in the development and training of your field technicians and be involved in process reviews to ensure that we are running an efficient and effective service department. REQUIREMENTS:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have prior mechanical knowledge of the products to be serviced, along with a technical background with heavy equipment, preferably Caterpillar products.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Previous experience with dispatching service technicians is required

• Must have advanced computer skills with an understanding of Caterpillar systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and have a teamwork ethic along with exceptional knowledge of construction equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
