Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group in Hickory, NC seeks a Service Salesperson to generate service revenue for the service department and cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, including large fleets. The role requires in-depth Daimler product knowledge, proactive prospecting, and the ability to meet or exceed sales goals.

You’ll spend more than 50% of your time outside the office selling Freightliner products, coordinating with service managers, and presenting proposals to decision makers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in service department of trucking industry.
• Technician experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must exhibit leadership qualities.
• Must exhibit teamwork qualities.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Shows Initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate service revenue for the Service Department and maintain relationships with existing clients, including large fleets.
• Manage repair expectations to ensure excellent customer service and provide immediate service to trucks to maintain the customer relationship.
• Spend more than 50% of time outside the office engaging in selling Freightliner products.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Daimler products and pricing.
• Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
