Schneider’s Power Services Field Service Representatives play an impactful role within the organization. They collaborate with customers, sales representatives, team members, and third-party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in various environments. We provide all Field Service Representatives with comprehensive product training and training on digital and physical tools. Schneider Electric supplies service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily use.

This is a home-based role with a flexible schedule, guaranteed 40 hours per week (+ overtime).

This position is part of our U.S. Services business, specifically within our Power Services team, focusing on electrical distribution equipment inside critical facilities.

Typical daily responsibilities include:
  1. Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.
  2. Performing warranty work and start-up services.
  3. Starting up and commissioning equipment across our product portfolio.
  4. Testing, calibrating, adjusting, and replacing components on customer products.
  5. Constructing and testing circuits and equipment using various tools and diagrams.
  6. Providing technical support, product training, and conducting on-site audits.

Support may include equipment such as electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, power monitoring equipment, and protective relays. All activities are documented thoroughly.

Additional tasks may involve:
  1. Analyzing complex equipment problems and interpreting maintenance manuals.
  2. Assisting with design modifications and supporting their installation.
  3. Developing and delivering training courses for customers and colleagues.
  4. Traveling for training and support at various sites.
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Vocational education, military training, or relevant experience in electronics or electrical disciplines.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or power distribution service.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presenting technical information.
  • Ability to perform calculations and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with testing, maintenance, or upgrades of switchgear, transformers, relay protection, or control systems.
  • Physical ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
