Schneider’s Power Services Field Service Representatives play an impactful role within the organization. They collaborate with customers, sales representatives, team members, and third-party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in various environments. They are problem solvers, customer-focused, passionate about their work, and the future of Schneider Electric.

We provide all Field Service Representatives with product training, digital and physical tools, service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops.

This is a home-based role with a flexible schedule, guaranteed 40 hours plus overtime.

This position is part of our U.S. Services business within the Power Services team, focusing on electrical distribution equipment inside critical facilities.

Typical daily responsibilities:
  • Servicing, installing, and repairing customer equipment.
  • Performing warranty work and start-up services.
  • Conducting startup/commissioning across our product portfolio.
  • Testing, calibration, adjustments, and component replacements.
  • Constructing and testing circuits and equipment using various tools and diagrams.
  • Providing technical support and on-site audits.
Support and maintenance tasks include:
  • Supporting equipment like electrical switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS, PLCs, HMIs, Drives, and protective relays.
  • Documenting site information through technical reports.
On some days, you may:
  • Analyze complex equipment problems and interpret manuals.
  • Assist in design modifications and installation support.
  • Develop and deliver training courses.
  • Travel for training and site support.
Ideal candidate qualifications:
  • Vocational, military, or transferable experience in electronics or electrical disciplines.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or power distribution services.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with low or medium voltage systems.
  • Physical ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
