Job summary

Socomec Group seeks a Field Service Technician to deliver on-site services and support for Powersmiths and Socomec products nationwide.

You will coordinate travel, ensure safety, and work with client engineers and contractors to meet project requirements across data centers and critical power environments. This salaried role requires travel, a technical background, and a strong customer service mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E safety regulations.
Knowledge of electrical code, transformers, PDU, UPS, ESS, and STS beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service while working independently.
Ability to plan travel and schedule client site visits.
Willingness to learn the energy conservation market.
Ability to access schools and government installations; background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

Maintain safety and professional standards on site.
Coordinate travel and site access for secure environments.
Deliver on-site activities and timely reports.
Collaborate with client engineers, contractors, and others to meet requirements.
Review instructions, manuals, drawings, and scripts to safely execute work.
Escalate issues with technical support and management.
Continuously learn about Powersmiths and Socomec products.
