Job summary

Socomec North America is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site support for Powersmiths and Socomec products across the United States. You will work with client engineers, perform start-up, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of PDUs and UPS systems.

This role requires strong safety awareness, the ability to plan complex travel, and excellent customer service, with occasional international travel and a home-based office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent electrical or power electronics experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Knowledge of transformers, power electronics, PDU, UPS, ESS, and STS.
• Strong customer service and ability to work independently.
• Ability to plan travel and schedule client site visits.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and occasional international travel.

• Maintain safety and professionalism in all field activities.
• Coordinate travel and site access to secure facilities.
• Perform on-site activities and deliver timely reports.
• Collaborate with client engineers and contractors to meet project requirements.
• Review manuals and drawings to safely execute work.
