Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Lead to manage a team of technicians at multiple customer sites. The role blends hands-on start-up and commissioning with leadership duties to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

You will mentor technicians, provide advanced troubleshooting, and coordinate with project teams while travelling to customer sites and training facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems.
• Minimum of 2 years field service experience focusing on start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical distribution systems preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Understanding of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate start-up and commissioning activities across multiple customer sites.
• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and training to field service technicians.
• Serve as technical lead for product expertise and advanced troubleshooting.
• Travel to manufacturing or field service facilities for training, tests, and shop activities.
• Identify project risks and report to management for action.
• Complete start-up/commissioning at job sites and close out punch lists and paperwork.
• Coordinate with commercial and administration teams for scope outside start-up.
• Ensure technicians have tools, materials, and documentation for work.
• Report product or quality concerns and collaborate with production/engineering.
• Schedule additional field resources in coordination with management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
