Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is seeking a Field Service Foreperson to supervise Field Technicians on emergency response and hazardous waste cleanup projects. You will oversee safety, timelines, and field operations on site at customer locations.

Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, managing budgets, ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance, operating equipment, and coordinating resources for remediation and decontamination tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physically intensive role.
• Previous supervisory or crew lead experience.
• Willingness to travel and overnight stays.
• On-call availability for emergency response.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass background check, drug test and physical as required.
• Compliance with respirator safety standards (facial hair rules).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
• Train and mentor the Field Service Technicians
• Execution of projects/jobs within budget and on time
• Enforce and ensure OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations are compliant
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects
• Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools and powered tools
• Wear and properly use PPE and respirators as required
• Work in varying temperatures and environments, including hazardous settings
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis
• Complete associated paperwork and inspections
• Follow local, state and federal compliance regulations
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and regulatory requirements
