Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Traveling Field Service Foreperson to supervise Field Technicians and oversee emergency response, hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and decontamination tasks. This role requires extensive travel across the United States and on-call availability for emergencies.

The position emphasizes strong safety practices, regulatory compliance, and leadership in project execution, with on-site work in varying environments and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Physically intensive role
• Supervisory/crew lead experience
• Willingness to travel for extended periods, overnight
• On-call availability for emergency response
• Valid Driver’s license
• Background check, drug test, and medical exam as required
• Compliance with respirator safety standards (facial hair rules)

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all policies
• Train and mentor Field Service Technicians
• Execute projects within budget and on time
• Enforce OSHA, EPA and H&S standards
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and resources for field and emergency projects
• Manage large field service and emergency response projects
• Engage in strenuous physical labor as needed
• Operate light/heavy equipment and use hand tools safely
• Wear proper PPE and adhere to safety guidelines
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather
• Handle hazardous materials safely and perform waste sampling as needed
• Complete worksheets, inspections and permits
