Job summary

FCX Performance in Hickory, NC is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform field maintenance, installation, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and control systems at customer sites. The role requires 2+ years in process/control equipment, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and PLC programming/troubleshooting.

You’ll travel to sites, document actions, and uphold safety standards while representing the company.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
2+ years installing, maintaining, and repairing process/control equipment.
Strong electronics/mechanical proficiency.
Electrical/electrician experience preferred.
Industrial safety training.
PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Programming and troubleshooting drives.

Responsibilities

Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and various other instrumentation; commission instrumentation and shoot loops.
Complete all applicable documentation for actions taken; report job activity and maintain detailed logs.
Represent Company during Field Service tasks with a “can do” attitude.
Identify and report safety issues to proper customer representative.
Identify opportunities for upgrades at the customer facility.
Research task criteria prior to arriving on work site.
Use company vehicle to travel to and from job sites with defensive driving.
