Job summary

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies Company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems at customer sites across industrial facilities. You will calibrate sensors, commission loops, and perform electrical maintenance as needed, while documenting activities and maintaining logs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in process/control equipment and strong PLC programming or troubleshooting experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate/technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years installing, maintaining, and repairing process/control equipment including instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps.
• Strong computer proficiency to operate electronic and microcomputer instruments for measuring and controlling variables.
• Electrical/electrician experience is preferred.
• Industrial safety training is valued.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
• Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and various other instrumentation.
• Commission instrumentation and shoot loops.
• Install and calibrate measuring and positioning devices.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance.
• Complete all applicable documentation and report job activity with logs of service calls, parts, and orders.
• Represent the company during field service tasks with a can-do attitude.
• Identify and report safety issues to customer representatives.
• Identify upgrades opportunities at the customer facility.
• Travel to and from job sites using company vehicle; adhere to defensive driving policies.
