Job summary

FCX Performance, an Applied Industrial Technologies company, seeks a hands-on System Engineer to deliver industrial control system services at local customer sites. The role involves field visits, PLC/HMI work, CAD drawings, and coordination with instrument technicians.

Required 5+ years of PLC programming and HMI experience, a BSEE/BSEET or ASEE with field exposure, and a valid US driver’s license. Travel to customer sites is expected. Sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, MOSCAD, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience with HMI software (Wonderware, VTSCADA, Lookout, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or ASEE with extensive field experience.
• Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide local industrial/commercial control systems engineering service for customers including SCADA, PLC programming, CAD drawings, and system calibration.
• Support instrument technicians in the field with interfacing field devices to DCS/SCADA systems and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to manage project backlogs and maintain strong customer relationships on site.
• Identify opportunities for system and hardware upgrades at customer facilities.
• Document job activity, logs, parts, orders, and enforce safety protocols on active job sites.
