Job summary

swissQprint America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair UV flatbed and roll-to-roll printers across the U.S. You will travel extensively, coordinate trips, and provide remote support when you’re not on the road.

Based in the West Dundee/Elgin, IL area, you’ll refurbish trade-ins and fine-tune demo printers at the local facility. A strong mechanical/electrical background and solid customer communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Robust mechanical and electrical foundation.
• Experience servicing printers is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a customer-friendly approach.
• Willingness to relocate or operate from multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair UV flatbed and roll-to-roll printers across the U.S. (travel 40%--75%).
• Own travel logistics—book, coordinate, and optimize trips; keep loyalty points.
• Provide remote hotline support via phone, email, and TeamViewer-style tools.
• Refurbish trade-in machines and maintain demo units at Elgin, IL facility.
• Collaborate with 2nd-level support and engineering teams in Switzerland to drive product improvements.
• Complete service documentation and administrative tasks to keep processes running smoothly.
• Invest in continual learning to maintain and expand technical certifications.
