Job summary

GE HealthCare is hiring a Field Engineer 2 to service medical equipment in hospital settings, primarily onsite in the Mobile, AL area. You will perform preventive maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships, timely communication, adherence to hospital protocols, and thorough documentation of work performed, including parts orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment, or 6 years with a HS diploma.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Availability after-hours and rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship provided.
• Onsite work in the Mobile, AL area; relocation assistance may be offered.

Job Description Summary

The Field Engineer 2 will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our medical equipment for one or more modalities within a hospital or healthcare system in Mobile AL area. This role requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations and occasionally from home office. To provide onsite customer support, candidate needs to be able to work in the Mobile AL area.

Job Description Responsibilities

Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients. Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols, to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military education and a minimum 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 6 years of experience servicing medical equipment. Valid Driver's License. Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Special Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
