Job description

Sartorius is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the team serving the Mountain and Mid-West regions. The Mountain region includes Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, and Idaho. The Mid-west region includes Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. Location

The ideal candidate will reside in Denver, Colorado.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer care and build positive relationships with clients.
  2. Offer technical support during issues.
  3. Coordinate workflow with scheduling to minimize unnecessary travel and travel to customer sites by ground, train, or air.
  4. Train customers on the use of Bio Analytics instruments.
  5. Perform field service, calibration, installation of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and sterilizations.
  6. Assist with resolving IT issues related to Bio Analytics system installations, perform software updates/upgrades.
  7. Draft documentation of processes and procedures as required.
  8. Maintain accurate records of parts and service reports, and prepare customer estimates.
  9. Identify and pass along leads to the sales team.
  10. Lift items weighing up to 35 kg.
  11. Travel up to 50-75% overnight for field service activities.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Associate’s degree or certifications in engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant field service experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Ability to travel extensively within specified regions.
  4. Strong troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing skills in mechanical, electrical, and IT domains.
  5. Valid driver’s license.
  6. Ability to lift items up to 35 kg.
Preferred
  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
  2. Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
  3. Excellent driving record.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and car allowance. Additional benefits include professional development, work-life balance initiatives, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and company-paid benefits.
