Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking a Field Service Representative to own field work from planning through completion. You will coordinate resources, schedules, and technical requirements while acting as the primary technical link between the customer and field crew.

You’ll perform overhauls, repairs, inspections, and commissioning of reciprocating engines and compressors, providing clear status reports and recommendations. Travel ~80% is required, with safety and OEM standards always in focus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field experience with reciprocating compression equipment.
• Ability to plan and execute field work from start to finish.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Own field service jobs from planning through completion, coordinating resources.
• Oversee overhauls, repairs, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
• Act as technical point of contact for customers, reporting status and findings.
• Direct field activities ensuring OEM procedures and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain SOWs, material lists, schedules, and service reports.
• Apply product knowledge to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to Field Service personnel and coordinate with Engineering/Operations.
