Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Cheyenne, WY. You will commission, test, and troubleshoot power distribution and protection systems across diverse industrial environments.

This role requires extensive travel across the United States to support field execution and project demands. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in field service for electrical power systems, with experience on relays (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC) and with Omicron/Doble test sets.

Qualifications

• Field-based commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems.
• Protection and control relays experience (SEL, GE Multilin, Siemens SIPROTEC).
• Ability to travel up to 80% domestically.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Relay testing equipment such as Omicron and Doble.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and start up low- and medium-voltage distribution equipment (approx. 480V–38kV).
• Perform hands-on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of protection and control relays.
• Use test equipment and software to validate system performance.
• Support greenfield and brownfield projects via commissioning and maintenance.
• Document findings in clear field reports.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and partners.
