Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Electrification & Automation EA Unit. The role can be based remotely in Des Moines, IA, with up to 80% travel nationwide to install, test, commission LV/MV equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, training and consulting on power distribution systems and switchgear; requires 4+ years of related experience and a valid driver's license, with eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School or GED minimum; other relevant skills and experience required.
• 4+ years of directly related equipment experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution systems.
• Experience with low and medium voltage switchgear.
• Knowledge of breakers or high voltage equipment testing and interpreting test results.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical control circuits.
• Must be available for emergency and relief assignments.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be 21+ to participate in Siemens vehicle plan.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and startup LV and MV equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, train, and consult on systems.
• Support Greenfield & Brownfield installations as needed.
• Travel up to 80% nationally.
