Job summary

KLA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Orbotech systems in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area, performing commissioning, repairs, and preventive maintenance at customer sites. The role involves substantial travel and requires strong technical and communication skills.

Applicants should have a solid electronics/mechanical background, PC tech knowledge, and the ability to diagnose pneumatic, vacuum, electronic, and computer issues to the component level.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent resident required
• Solid background in electronics, mechanical engineering, vacuum technology, and PCB technologies
• Ability to diagnose Pneumatic, Vacuum, Electronic (AC/DC), and Computer issues to component level
• Strong understanding of WinNT, WinXP, Win7 & 10, Linux, and MS Office products
• Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills
• Good interpersonal skills and adaptability to hours/locations
• Willingness to travel 50-60%
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently

Responsibilities

• Provide service support to customers encompassing system commissioning, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Generate close working relationship with customers to enable selling product portfolio
• Accurate completion of all field reports
• Represent KLA culture and values professionally
• Travel to support the customer base as required
