Job summary

AMETEK Land is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the United States to provide on-site and remote technical support for our infrared temperature measurement and related systems. The role involves up to 80% travel to serve a diverse customer base with contract and non-contract service, preventative maintenance, commissioning and training.

You will work closely with Sales and Service teams to ensure excellent customer experience, maintain safety standards, and contribute to service content

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in a technical support environment is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% and support customers globally.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support for AMETEK Land products and systems.
• Ensure timely Site Visit Reports are completed and signed by customers.
• Manage technical relationships as a Service Ambassador, meeting product specs and customer expectations.
• Identify cross- and upsell opportunities with existing customers for new products and services.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose issues, and develop solutions; provide field feedback for product improvements.
• Deliver training to customers on proper use and maintenance of products.
• Maintain service documentation and provide regular updates to management and customers.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with product and service technologies.
