Job summary

Desoutter Tools seeks a Field Service Engineer to support customers onsite in Memphis, TN or Olive Branch, MS. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot advanced tooling and automation systems, and deliver training to customers and internal teams.

You will travel frequently across the U.S. and Canada, with occasional trips to Mexico, and work independently at customer facilities. A STEM background and 5+ years of relevant experience are required for success.

Your role

As a Field Service Engineer reporting to the Service Team Leader, you’ll work hands‑on with cutting‑edge industrial technologies while supporting customers onsite in Memphis, TN or Olive Branch, MS. Specific Responsibilities

• Install and configure key solutions including Pivotware, DeMeter, Nexonar, ARG, and tightening/calibration systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective actions across supported hardware and software systems.
• Deliver training to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective solution adoption.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on Chicago Pneumatic and Desoutter tools and equipment.
• Document all daily work using company systems while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Strong technical skills in configuring low‑code applications and implementing technologies such as Pivotware, DeMeter, Nexonar, ARG, and tightening/calibration systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to use diagnostics, knowledge bases, and tools to resolve issues independently.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills to build rapport and deliver effective training to customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage time well, and operate professionally in field‑based environments.
• Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and willingness to travel frequently across the U.S. and Canada (with occasional travel to Mexico).

Job location

• Primary location: Onsite at a customer facility in Memphis, TN / Olive Branch, MS area.
• Frequent assignments to other U.S. and Canada customer sites when not assigned to the primary customer facilities (travel and expenses covered).
• Remote work from home only when not assigned to a customer site, focused on training and administrative duties.
