Job summary

Carestream Health is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Maryland to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain X-ray imaging and related hospital equipment at customer sites. You will manage customer relationships, generate service revenue, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role covers servicing laser printers, networks, CR/DR X-ray systems, radio fluoroscopy, and other hospital equipment with potential overnight travel; a company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent is required or strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging or 6+ years in electronics, preferably in field service.
• Knowledge of computers and networking; PC competency incl. MS Office.
• Ability to read schematics and site drawings with minimal help.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and autonomous work capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel (overnight) and operate in hospital/medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Build credibility with customers through pro-active visits and clear communication.
• Provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders on equipment issues.
• Demonstrate urgency in identifying and resolving customer issues; follow escalation processes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, manage expectations, and meet commitments.
• Understand customer business and competitive environment; identify revenue growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional team to share best practices and improve processes.
• Independently complete PMs, installations, and related tasks.
• Conduct remote diagnostics and telephone support when needed.
