Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, and maintain complex Werfen instrumentation across North America. You will build relationships with customers, perform on-site installs, preventative maintenance, and product enhancements while meeting service delivery KPIs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a technical/support role, an associate degree in Electronics or Medical Technology, and the ability to travel up to 90%. A proactive, customer-minded approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering or related training; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical/support role (industry, military and/or customer facing).
• Working knowledge of PCs and Windows operating systems; Lab Information Systems knowledge a plus.
• Ability to participate in rotational on-call coverage to provide support as required.
• MS Office 365 proficiency; knowledge of Werfen instrumentation platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer on-site visits for installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and product enhancement on Werfen instruments and systems.
• Diagnoses, analyzes, troubleshoots, and isolates instrument issues to determine failures and corrective actions.
• Escalates unresolved issues and communicates with customers professionally.
• Maintains customer relationships and provides high level of service to ensure retention.
• Advises customers on proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Werfen systems.
