Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair advanced diagnostic instruments across the New Jersey territory. You will build strong customer relationships, perform installations, preventive maintenance, and product enhancements while meeting service delivery KPIs.

The role focuses on Hemostasis instrumentation with significant travel (up to 90% overnight). Applicants should have a relevant electronics/biomedical background and strong troubleshooting skills in a

Qualifications

Associates degree in Electronics required; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 3 years in a technical/support or field service role.

Responsibilities

Provides on-site installations, repairs, maintenance and product enhancements on Werfen instruments and systems.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots instrument issues; isolates failures and implements corrective actions.
Escalates unresolved technical issues to appropriate teams.
Acts as liaison with customers, maintaining professionalism and follow-up.
Delivers high level of customer service to retain relationships and drive satisfaction.
Advises customers on orientation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments.
Collaborates with Sales and Applications teams to share customer insights and lead generation.
Promotes service contracts and supports contract renewals with customers.
Maintains compliant service records and timely reports.
Manages assigned service inventory and adheres to travel and time reporting policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
